In 2003, Topps decided to bring Garbage Pail Kids back with new cards and artwork. They started the series off with the "lost" 16th series. But some of the original 16th series cards were not released, possibly due to political correctness, violence, or abstract or out-of-date jokes. Here are the cards from the 16th series that did not make it:

I love GPK and have a full collection of 1-15 but always wondered about the missing 16th series. thanks for the post and shedding some light on the mystery.
I'm surprised Scrawled Saul didn't make it in the reprint.
